As the only cross-country ski event in China, hereby, we are honored to address it has been finally confirmed by FIS ( International Ski Federation ) that the Vasaloppet China 50km long distance category is authorized to have the FIS points continuously!
Based on the FIS points authorization, Vasaloppet China will be the bridge connecting and attracting more and more world top skiers coming over to China for this competition, which will surely make it more professional and competitive. Moreover, it will also be the only advanced professional platform for the domestic skiers to have this chance to compete with the world top athletes and to be qualified for even higher level competitions overseas by gaining better FIS points.
Organized by the FIS (International Ski Federation), CSA (Chinese Ski Association), Changchun Municipal Government, and co-organized by Nordic Ways, Vasaloppet China’s 9th birthday is on Jan.2nd 2011. We are looking forward to the profession and brilliance the FIS Race is to bring!
