Norway Ridderrennet was established in 1964, once a year and lasting one week. In 2005, Ridderrennet was introduced to China. On the competition arena of Changchun Jingyuetan Vasaloppet, their sports spirit interpreted tenet of the competition: “Making The Impossible Possible”.

Since then, the event has been held in 2006 and 2010, and the tradition will be sustained in 2011 with the full cooperation and support from Changchun Municipal People’s Government, Norwegian Embassy, Handicapped Association of Jilin Province, Nordic Ways and the Special Eduation School of Changchun University. Ridderrennet China is an event to promote the Ridderrennet spirit of crossing boundaries and never giving up despite difficulties. It has successfully spread this very spirit to Changchun ,to China and even to the whole world. If there’s anything higher than this, then Ridderrennet China is telling.

For the 2011 edition of Ridderrennet China, there will be more categories set with more distances and groups such as the deaf-mute, blind, sitting and standing. Let’s make the love tradition lasts!
