FAIR-PLAY POLICY
Vasaloppet China has this year put in a lot of work to prevent cheating. Chip-stations x4, manual check-points x4 and 8 camera stations will be located on the track. Using free-technique, taking short cuts, changing skis or competing in an unfair way will without exemptions lead to an immediately disqualification and the skier will be reported to FIS (international ski federation)
CATEGORIES
Vasaloppet China has 3 different categories, 50km Open Class, Vasaloppet 25km , Vasaloppet 2.5km.
START AREA
Following start order, marked with the same colour as your number bibs, are used;
- Dark Blue –50km Elite men
- Orange– 50km Elite women
- Dark Red –50km Open Class
- Light Blue –Vasa 25km
- Green — Vasa 2.5km
MASS START
The race starts at 10:00. From 09:30, you can enter the start area. You must be at your start place 09:40 at the latest.
CLOTHES DEPOSIT
Use the plastic clothes deposit bag, marked with your start No. Leave your bag at the clothes deposit area. Bags or clothes left in the start area are on your own responsibility.Your belongings will be taken care of in a closed room, only accessible by the event organizers. Show your number bib when you pick up your belongings.
SKI TECHNIQUE
For the competition on January 4th,only classics technique is permitted. Using skating technique leads to disqualification. This will be strictly supervised all along the track. You are not allowed to take off your skis or change skis.
LOW TEMPERATURE
In case of extreme weather conditions, please listen to the information provided by the announcer.
SKI MARKING
Before entering the start area, all participants must put on their ski marking with the bib number on both skis. Participants are not allowed to change skies during the competition and this will be supervised by referees. Changing skies leads to disqualification.
DRINKING STATION/CHECKPOINTS / MEDICAL SERVICE
There are four checkpoints and five drinking stations with refreshments, three along the track and two at the start/finish area. Medical services are located at the start/finish area but can be contacted from the check points.
SKI WAX
Ski waxing area is provided at the start area.
ABANDONING THE RACE
If you can´t finish the race, you must inform the referee team at the finish area. They will take your chip and report. Safety and medical service units are permitted to take any competitor out of the race, if they suspect injury or illness. Transport to finish area will be arranged in such circumstances.
TIME RESTRICTIONS
Maximum time allowed for fulfilling the 50K and 25K distances is 6 hours(before 16:00). These time limits are set for safety reasons. In extreme weather conditions the competition organizers reserve the right to change these time limits.
FINISH AREA
China Ski Association (CSA) time keeping team is responsible for the official time keeping. The chip is a valuable thing, after you finish the race, the chip should be returned at the finish area.
CHANGING ROOM
Changing room(tents) is available at the start/finish area. Showers are not available in the arena, so you should bring dry clothes.
LOST AND FOUND
Any items found will be kept at Vasaloppet China Office for one(1 month), Please contact the office if you lost something.
RESULT LISTS
Result lists for the 20 best men and the 10 best women will be posted at arena Race Office. Protests against these top placing must be lodged and paid not later than 15 min after these lists have been posted. Other protests or comments, concerning the results, must have been received by the organizer within 5 days of the completion of the competition.
PROTESTS
Protest fee is 200CNY. Protests with respect to all other preliminary placing and times must be lodged with us right away after the competition in order to be considered.
PASSPORTS
Passports for Worldloppet and Vasaloppet International Skiing Exchange can be bought and stamped both in the Vasaloppet China Race Office at Sheraton Hotel and at the Race office at Vasaloppet China arena. You can pay with credit card or cash.(Note: At Race Office at Vasaloppet China arena, cash only.)

Note: We need to check your finish time to stamp your passpor. Before race closed, results are published each 30 min.
